Giving Back: Performing at Rumah Bakti with Grab Malaysia

Some performances pay in something better than money.
We joined Grab Malaysia for a community event at Rumah Bakti, bringing the drums, cymbals, and lions to children who had never seen a lion dance up close.
The best part was after the routine: little hands reaching out to touch the lion's fur, kids taking turns under the head, and a drum circle that went on long after the official programme ended.
Lion dance has always been a community art. It was born in villages, performed for neighbours, and passed down to whoever showed up to learn. Bringing it to children, especially those who need the joy most, is the tradition working exactly as intended.
To the team at Grab Malaysia and the carers at Rumah Bakti: thank you for having us. We will be back.
